IS THERE A WHITE BORDER?
Our metal prints showcase every design from edge to edge, without white borders. In case a white edge is visible, we will notify you to resolve the matter prior to printing.
WHAT'S THE REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE GLOSSY AND MATTE FINISHES? WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Our Glossy finish offers vibrant colors and deep contrasts with a reflective, high-shine surface, making images pop. It's excellent for high-impact photos but can show reflections in brightly lit rooms and is more prone to fingerprints. Our Matte finish provides a smooth, non-reflective surface that minimizes glare, ideal for rooms with lots of natural or artificial light. It offers a softer, more subdued look and is less susceptible to fingerprints. Both finishes are applied to the same high-quality aluminum and offer similar durability. Choose Glossy for maximum vibrancy or Matte for reduced glare and a subtle elegance.
HOW DURABLE ARE BOLOT STUDIO METAL PRINTS AGAINST FADING, SCRATCHES, AND MOISTURE?
Our metal prints are crafted for longevity using. This makes them highly resistant to fading; indoor prints can last for decades without noticeable change. They are also moisture-resistant, making them suitable for kitchens or covered patios (avoid direct, prolonged exposure to harsh weather). The surface is durable and easy to clean, but like any fine art print, it can be scratched by sharp objects. Handle with care during installation and cleaning.
WHY CHOOSE A METAL PRINT OVER A TRADITIONAL CANVAS OR PAPER PHOTO PRINT?
Metal prints offer several unique advantages. They provide exceptional color vibrancy and depth that often surpasses canvas or paper. Their durability is significantly higher – they are scratch-resistant (to a degree), waterproof, UV-resistant, and won't warp or tear. They offer a modern, frameless aesthetic (though framing is possible) and are very easy to clean. If you're looking for a contemporary, long-lasting, and visually stunning way to display your photos, metal is an excellent choice.

HOW DO I UPLOAD A PHOTO FOR PRINTING?
Uploading your photo is straightforward and happens directly on the product page after you select your desired size, finish, and mounting option.
Locate the Upload Area: Look for the upload button, which allows you to either drag and drop your image file directly onto it or click to browse your device's files. Please note, only one image file can be uploaded per print.
File Types: We accept common image file types (like JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, etc.). Ensure your file is under the 10 MB size limit. For best results, we recommend a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
Crop to Fit (Important!): Once uploaded, our built-in image editor will appear. This tool requires you to crop your image to the specific aspect ratio needed for your chosen print size:
- For the 13 x 9 cm print, please crop your image to a 1:1.421 aspect ratio.
- For the 42 x 30 cm print, please crop your image to a 1:1.414 aspect ratio.This step ensures your photo fits the metal print perfectly without unexpected cropping during production.
Preview Your Crop: After cropping, you'll see a preview. Please review it carefully to make sure the composition is exactly as you want it before adding the print to your cart.
WHAT SIZES ARE AVAILABLE AND CAN I ORDER A CUSTOM SIZE?
We offer standard sizes: 13x9 cm, 42x30 cm. Unfortunately, we do not yet support custom dimensions; only the sizes listed above are available.
CAN I CHANGE THE PICTURE AND SIZE?
Please contact customer service immediately at support@bolotstudio.com, ideally within 24 hours of placing your order. Because our metal prints are custom-made, they enter the production process quickly. We will do our absolute best to accommodate changes before production begins, but we cannot guarantee changes are possible once an order is in progress. Please double-check your uploaded photo, selected size, and finish carefully before submitting your order.
WHERE DO I ENTER MY DISCOUNT CODE?
A discount code input box is available on the checkout page. Please note, each order can only apply one discount code. Customers should ensure they enter the correct discount code to avail of the promotional offer.
WHAT IMAGE RESOLUTION AND QUALITY ARE BEST FOR SHARP METAL PRINTS, ESPECIALLY FOR THE LARGE 42X30 CM SIZE?
For optimal sharpness, especially on our larger 42x30 cm prints, we recommend images with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI at the final print size. While 300 DPI is the minimum, higher resolution source files generally yield better results. Ensure your photo is well-lit, in focus, and free from excessive digital noise or compression artifacts, as these can become more apparent when enlarged. We recommend uploading files in the sRGB color space for the most accurate color reproduction. If our team notices significant quality issues that might affect your print, we may contact you before proceeding. Consider using our preview tool carefully after uploading.

WHAT MOUNTING OPTIONS ARE INCLUDED WITH EACH PRINT SIZE?
Each print size comes with a specific mounting solution designed for it.
- The 13 x 9 cm print includes a sleek Metal Desk Stand, perfect for displaying on desks, shelves, or tables.
- The 42 x 30 cm print includes our Safe Wall Magnetic mounting system for easy, drill-free wall hanging.
Please note that at this time, these mounting options are exclusive to their respective sizes and cannot be swapped.
IS THE "WALL MAGNETIC" MOUNT (FOR THE 42X30 CM PRINT) STRONG AND WALL-SAFE?
Yes, the Wall Magnetic mount included with the 42x30 cm print is designed to securely hold its weight. The system uses a strong magnetic receiver adhered to your wall (ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth – not recommended for heavily textured walls or delicate wallpaper) and a corresponding plate on the print. The adhesive is designed for strong hold but also for careful removal without damaging most standard painted drywall surfaces. We recommend testing in an inconspicuous area if concerned about specific paint types.

HOW LONG DOES PRODUCTION AND SHIPPING TAKE?
The production time of 1-3 business days begins once your order details and uploaded image are confirmed and ready for printing. If we need to contact you regarding image quality or other details, production time may be adjusted. Estimated shipping times (1-3 days Poland, 3-9 days EU via DHL) are provided by the carrier and may occasionally vary due to factors beyond our control, such as customs delays or peak shipping seasons.
HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
Please check the Track Your Order page in the navigation bar and follow the steps provided on the page. Ensure you have your order number and email address handy before tracking your order.
WHAT CARRIERS DO YOU USE TO SHIP?
We ship orders through DHL. All orders are processed and shipped within 1-3 business days.

If your order is damaged or lost in transit, please contact us. We will provide a solution after verifying the issue. We take the quality of our products very seriously and will work quickly to resolve any issues with damaged or lost orders.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY CUSTOM METAL PRINT?
As each metal print is custom-made with your unique photo, we generally cannot accept returns for reasons unrelated to quality defects or shipping damage. However, your satisfaction is our priority. If your print arrives damaged, or if there's a clear defect in the print quality (e.g., printing errors, incorrect size/finish shipped), please contact us at support@bolotstudio.com within 14 days of receiving your order, including photos of the issue. We will work with you to find a solution, which may include a replacement or refund. Please review our Refund Policy for details.
