How to Install Your Metal Print: A Magnetic Picture Frame

This guide covers the active installation steps and the required bond-build time for the magnetic mounting system: a self-adhesive wall receiver and neodymium magnets that connect to the metal plate on the back of the print.

Apply the self-adhesive wall receiver with firm pressure to a compatible, smooth, clean, dry and stable surface. Wait 1 minute at room temperature before loading or hanging the print. Then position the neodymium magnets on the metal backing and align the print with the receiver.

How to Install Your Metal Print: A Magnetic Picture Frame

Important: Install only on compatible, smooth, clean, dry and stable surfaces. Surface material, seal, paint condition and room conditions affect adhesion. Avoid textured, porous or unsealed surfaces and delicate wallpaper. Apply firm pressure and wait 1 minute at room temperature before loading. If unsure, test in a hidden area first.

How to Install Your Metal Print - Step by Step

Choose & Prepare the Wall

Choose a perfectly smooth area on the wall.
Make sure it's free from dust, grease, cracks, or loose paint.

Clean & Dry the Surface

Wipe the selected area with a clean cloth to remove dust and dirt.
Wait until the surface is completely dry before moving on.

Attach the Wall Sticker (Magnetic Receiver)

Carefully peel off the backing from the adhesive sticker.
Apply firm, even pressure across the adhesive receiver.
Wait at least 1 minute at room temperature before hanging your print.

Prepare the Print

Place the two neodymium magnets on the clean metal plate on the back of the print only after the 1-minute bond-build period.

Hang & Level Your Print

Hold the print close to the wall and let the magnets snap towards the receiver.
Gently slide the print left or right until it is perfectly level.

Check & Enjoy

Lightly tug the print to be sure it feels stable and secure.
Step back, make any final adjustments, and enjoy your new decoration.

⚠️ Safe Removal

To remove the print, gently slide it downward until the magnets release. Then pull it away from the wall.
Never pull the print directly toward you — this protects both the mounting system and your wall.
We recommend mounting on smooth, stable surfaces only.
The print "floats" gently against the wall — the system allows easy removal or levelling at any time.

Complete the active steps carefully, then allow the full 1-minute room-temperature bond-build period before loading the receiver.

Frequently Asked Questions About Metal Print Installation

Use only a compatible, smooth, flat, clean, dry, sealed and stable surface in sound condition. Avoid textured finishes, rough brick, porous or unsealed concrete or plaster, loose paint and delicate wallpaper. Surface and room conditions affect adhesion; when unsure, test in a hidden area and do not load the receiver until 1 minute has passed at room temperature.

We do not publish a universal load rating because adhesion depends on the compatible surface, preparation and room conditions. The supplied magnetic kit is scoped to Legacy Classic and Statement, and The Cinematic 21×14, 30×20 and 42×30 cm formats. Follow the preparation instructions and wait 1 minute at room temperature before loading.

To remove the print, slide it carefully downward until the magnets release, then move it away from the wall. Never pull it directly toward you. Contact Bolot Studio before attempting to remove the bonded wall receiver; the correct method depends on the surface and receiver condition.

Reuse depends on the condition of the receiver, magnets and surface, and the system must not be used if any part is loose or damaged.
