How Personalised Aluminium Photo Prints Are Made

A high-level explanation of the customer-facing workflow, without disclosing confidential suppliers or production know-how.

We prepare the photograph for the selected crop and transfer it by dye-sublimation into a prepared aluminium surface. The result is a personalised photo print with rich colour and fine detail. Standard photo prints are intended for indoor display away from prolonged direct sunlight.

The Anatomy of a Bolot Studio Print

The image, prepared aluminium surface and chosen finish work together to present your photograph.

3

Selected Surface Finish

The selected matte or glossy surface affects appearance and reflections; standard photo prints remain for dry indoor display.

2

Infused Image Layer

Your photograph is prepared for the selected format, then transferred by dye-sublimation into a prepared aluminium surface.

1

Prepared Aluminium Surface

The verified material for Bolot Studio photo prints is aluminium; supplier identity and detailed construction remain confidential.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our metal print process.

What is advanced metal printing?

The photograph is prepared for the selected crop and transferred by dye-sublimation into a prepared aluminium surface. This produces rich colour and fine detail while supplier identity and detailed production know-how remain confidential. Standard photo prints are intended for indoor display away from prolonged direct sunlight.

How long do metal prints last?

Standard photo-print configurations are intended for indoor display and do not include a protective UV laminate. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and outdoor exposure.

How long does production take?

Production normally takes 1–3 business days. The current delivery estimate for the selected market is shown separately in the storefront and confirmed at checkout.

What image quality do I need for a metal print?

Upload the highest-resolution original photograph available. The upload limit is 50 MB, and common supported formats include JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. Suitability depends on the selected size, orientation and crop; review any configurator warning before ordering.

What is the difference between matte and glossy finish?

Glossy is reflective and gives stronger contrast and colour impact. Matte has a softer satin appearance and reduces reflections, but it is not glare-free. Both use the same aluminium photo-print process; choose according to the photograph and room lighting.
